Day - 01 - Arrival at Guwahati - Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU) / Guwahati Railway Station (GHY) & Transfer to Shillong - Welcome to Guwahati - Meet and be assisted by our representative at the Airport / Railway Station & proceed to Shillong - It is approximately 100 kilometres and is roughly 03 hours drive - It is the capital and hill station of Meghalaya, also known as "The Abode of Clouds", one of the smallest states in India - The town reminded the European settlers of Scotland - Hence, they would also refer to it as 'Scotland of the East' - Enroute we see Umium Lake (Barapani), a majestic placid lake surrounded by Sylvan hills - On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel - Evening free to visit the markets - Overnight stay in Shillong
02 - Excursion to Cherrapunjee - Early Morning breakfast - Next drive to Cherrapujee - It is approximately 60 Kilometres i.e. 02 - 2½ hours drive by car - At present the historical name Sohra is more commonly used is a subdivisional town in the East Khasi Hills in Meghalaya - It is credited as being the wettest place on Earth, although nearby Mawsynram currently holds that record - Cherrapunjee possesses some exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves - Visit Visit Dwan Syiem view point, Noh kalikai falls, Mawsmai caves, Seven Sister falls, Eco park etc - Later after lunch back to Shillong drive back to Shillong - On the way visit to Shillong Peak & Elephant Falls - Return to The Hotel / Resort - Evening if time permits visit local market (Police Bazar) - Night stay at Shillong
Day - 03 - Transfer from Shillong to Nameri - Early morning breakfast - Morning one can visit the Craft Center, producing fine carpets of colorful designs masks and Buddhist monastery (Optional) - Next drive approximately 115 kilometres and is nearly 07 hours drive - Morning one can visit the Craft Center, producing fine carpets of colorful designs masks and Buddhist monastery - Later drive to Nameri National Park, located at the foothills of eastern Himalayas covering an area of about 200 square kilometres - Arrive and proceed to your Eco Camp - Overnight at the Camp in Nameri
Day - 04 - Nameri Sightseeing - Early morning breakfast - Nameri is located nearly 35 kilometres from Tezpur and is characterised by hills of deciduous forests and Jia Bhoroli river flowing through it - Nameri is home to more than 300 species of birds and to rare and endangered White Winged Wood Duck - Jia Bhoroli river is famous for the Mahseer angling, its home of the Golden Mahseer - For angling booking should be done in advance and photo ID proof & passport copy is required - Guests can go for Rafting at the Jai Bhorali River - Later return to the hotel - Overnight stay at Nameri
Day - 05 - Transfer from Nameri to Dirang – Early morning breakfast - Next drive approximately 185 kilometres and is nearly 6 ½ - 07 hours - Bomdilla is just 45 kilometres from Dirang - After breakfast drive to Dirang - Enroute visit Tippi Orchid Centre - Check in Hotel - The places of interest are National Research Centre On Yak, Dirang Dzong, Hot Water Spring, Sangti Valley and Kalachakra Gompa - It is just a transit point hence the Gompa can be visited while leaving next day morning for onward journey - Evening at Leisure - Overnight stay at Dirang
Day - 06 - Transfer from Dirang to Tawang – Early morning breakfast - Next drive approximately 155 kilometres and is nearly 5 ½ - 06 hours - Morning drive to Tawang - Enroute witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 14000 ft and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial - Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war - His spirit is still believed to protect the place - Evening free to stroll around the local market - Overnight stay in Tawang
Day - 07 - Tawang Local Sightseeing - The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the “Galden Namgyel Lhatse” Monestary - One of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sect in Asia - The birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama, the Monastery is 400 year old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha - ‘The Land of Dawn lit Mountains situated at about 3500 meters - Tawang also has beautiful lakes around it - It offers unparallel purity of nature and scenic beauty of the Himalayan Range - Visit the monastery and the War Memorial - Evening free for shopping - Overnight stay in Tawang
Day - 08 - Transfer from Tawang to Bomdilla – Early morning breakfast - Next drive approximately 180 kilometres and is nearly 6 ½ - 06 hours to Bomdila - Bomdila is a perfect place if you are aiming to have a stunning view of snow clad Himalayan mountain ranges - It is situated at about 8000 feet - The cool climate is enjoyable and so are the apple orchards and the beautiful surroundings - There is a centre for crafts and a shopping centre - Evening free at leisure - Overnight stay in Bomdila
Day - 09 - Transfer from Bomdila to Guwahati – Early morning breakfast - Next drive approximately 280 kilometres and is nearly 7 ½ - 08 hours to Guwahati- Guwahati is the ancient cities of Pragjyotishpura and Durjaya (North Guwahati) were the capitals of the ancient state of Kamarupa under the Varman and Pala dynasties - Many ancient Hindu temples are in the city, giving it the name City Of Temples"- Dispur, the capital of Assam, is in the circuit city region located within Guwahati and is the seat of the Government of Assam - After Breakfast transfer to Kaziranga - Overnight stay at Hotel at Guwahati
