Rupam Valley Trek (Buxa Via Santrabari)
Santrabari - Santrabari (914 feet), a distance of about 36 Kilometres from Alipurduar Raiulway Station or Alipurduar Town - Santrabari is the starting point of your Buxa trek to Buxa Fort and Lapchakha and is situated well inside the Buxa Tiger Reserve - It also is the starting point of any trek towards Raimatang - 4 kilometres trek to Buxa Fort starts from Santrabari - The trek is through dense forest, hills and picturesque surroundings and leads one upto the Buxaduar Forest Bungalow - This place is a haven for nature lovers, bird watchers and Trekkers
Buxa Fort - Buxa Fort is in fact known for its prison fort - This fort was used as a Detention Camp by the British, because of its remoteness during the Indian Freedom Movement - Freedom fighters were imprisoned here and was similar to Andaman Nicobar Island - The detention camp on is situated in the core of Forest (Now mostly cleared) - However, after independence, it served as a refugee camp for Tibetans and Bangladeshis - The fort is in ruins at present, but its historical significance is appealing - In Buxaduars one can have accommodation in Dukpa huts - The accommodation is basic, but neat and clean - Evening and night will be spent in the glow of candles and Kerosene lamps as there is no electricity -
Tashigaon - One can start Buxa Lepchakha trek to Lapchakha via Tashigaon - Tashigaon is the highest village on the Rover’s point Rupam valley trail - This village offers an enchanting view of the Buxa landscape - It is about one and half hour trek from Buxa fort - From Tashigaon, one can take the core forest route to reach Lepchakha. On the way to Lepchakha, one needs to make an entry in the BSF register - Guests can enjoy a cultural evening with the locals, the Mangars and the Dukpas, who would be glad to enliven the evening with their folk renditions over bonfire for a nominal cost
Lepchakha - Lapchakha is an hidden treasure of Dooars is a plateau surrounded by five hills - It is a place where silence extends its own magic and loneliness finds its true definition - It is a place to gaze the clear sky on a full moon night, a place where one can enjoy the hospitality of the Dukpa community - In fact, the beauty of Lapchakha lies in the view from the plateau - 12 rivers & its tributaries flowing through Dooars starting from Sankosh to the Torsa look like glistening snakes meandering through the plains below - The night offers a different view when the lights of Alipurduar town seem to merge seamlessly with the stars all around - Accommodation of our guests in homestays only - The accommodation again, is basic, but neat and clean

Suntalekhola - It is paradise for nature lover - Situated at an altitude of 750 metres - A trail leads through thick broadleaved tropical and semi-tropical forests via Mouchouki, Rechila Top, Alubari and Pankhasari Ridge give a breathtaking view of lush green tea garden and forest that rejuvenate our soul and mind - Its name is after a stream called Khola in local Lnguage - Orange cultivation is quite popular here - Forest Bunglow and West Bengal Tourism department have lodges here

Neora valley - is a National Park situated in the Kalimpong subdivision of West Bengal. The park covers an area of 88 square kilometres and is located close to the popular tourist destination of Lava - Neora Valley shares its border with Western Bhutan and the forests of Sikkim - It was established in 1986 as a National Park and derives its name from the Neora River running through the forest - A large network of streams and torrents is spread across the park sustaining a large variety of luxuriant vegetation, mammals, birds and reptiles.
Nature - Wildlife includes Red Panda, Himalayan flying squirrels, clouded leopards,Asiatic Black Bear, wild boars, leopard cats, gorals, serows, barking deers and tigers. During the trek one come across various colours of Rhododendrons i.e. red, pink and white - Its also a birders paradise - One can spot the khalij pheasant, Jerdon’s baza bearded vulture, Himalayan griffon, red-legged falcon, great pied hornbill, species of cuckoos - Butterflies are also worth watching
