North Sikkim & Pelling Package 07 Nights & 08 Days

Day- 01

On arrival transfer to Gangtok - On arrival, guests will be representative will receive guests and assist them to forward journey to  Gangtok - The drive is approximately 120 Kilometres and is nearly 04½ - 05 hours drive along the River Teesta and National Highway 10 - Gangtok is a clean bustling, friendly hill station, and the capital of the Indian state of Sikkim - It is a perfect destination for tourist in search of enchantment, tranquility, trekking or any other adventure - It is a land of monastery, mystic rituals, and colourful festivals - It is popular Buddhist pilgrimage site after the construction of the Enchey Monastery in 1840 - Situated at an elevation of 1,437 meters i.e. 4,715 feet is the most often visited spot of India for its rare Orchids and Butterflies - In the evening one is free to stroll around M.G.Marg or the local Market - One can also visit the local pub or Casinos - Overnight stay at Gangtok

Day- 02

Excursion to Changu / Tsomgo Lake [Nathu La  is Optional] - Early morning breakfast - After the arrival of permits the vehicle will report at hotel or Taxi Stand - After breakfast excursion start - This is nearly 52 kilometers drive and takes nearly 02 hours - Visit Tsomgo / Changu Lake and Baba Mandir, cool, serene water and the picturesque beauty - Tsomgo lake is one of the holy lakes of the region - A temple of Lord Shiva is built on the lakeside - Primula flowers and other alpine plantation provide an immaculate beauty to this place - Till April it is full of snow and lay frozen - Back to hotel for lunch or lunch on the way - The rest of the day is free - Evening one is free to stroll around M G Road or the Local Market - Overnight stay at Gangtok

[Note: Nathu La Pass visit is an option and depends heavily on the permit issued -  Papers are collected the previous night [EPIC i.e. Voters ID & Passport] - Nathu La Pass once booked the amount is not refunded even if the trip get canceled - Nathula Pass supplement of INR 2500 - INR 4000  has to be paid on the spot as it is not included in the final costing] Foreign Nationals are not allowed to Nathula or Baba Mandir but with a guide, they are allowed only toll Tsomgo Lake]

Gangtok Local Sightseeing - Morning breakfast - After breakfast drive for the city tour of Gangtok - After 1975 Gangtok was made India's 22nd state of India - Sightseeing will be for full or half-day as per guests requirement to make it easy and comfortable - It is not possible to cover all the spot in a single day hence we make the program with points covering minimum distance traveled - Start for a Full day city tour covering Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre (Closed on Sunday and 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month), Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday), Dro-Dul Chorten, Gonjang Monastery & Banjakhri Falls (maximum 6 hours) - Back to Hotel - Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center Or Casino - Overnight stay at Gangtok

Day- 03

Transfer to Lachen [North sikkim] - Early morning breakfast - Next the vehicle will report for North Sikkim after the permit is issued - The vehicle will report at North Sikkim Stand [Guest has to take a Taxi and Report there - Next drive to Lachen - It is 125 kilometres and is nearly 06 - 06½ hours drive - Chungthang is nearly 96 kilometres from Gangtok - On the way stop at Chungthang - Next drive for 29 kilometres from Chungthang to Lachen - Reach Lachung late afternoon / early evening - The snow-capped peaks, the Shingbha wildlife sanctuary, Gurudongmar, Thangu, Chopta Valley and Green Lake are the major attractions of the region - It is almost like this town is hidden from the outside - The infrastructure is not good due to the remoteness and the snowfall / Rainfall - The place is worth visiting - Check into a hotel - Evening free to stroll or visit the Lachen Monastery and visit the Lepcha Village - Overnight stay at Hotel in Lachen

Day- 04

Excursion to Gurudongmar Lake and Transfer to Lachung -  Early morning breakfast - Visit Gurudongmar Lake [Holy / Sacred lake) - It is a tiny Hamlet a valley with lush meadows located at an altitude of 13,000 feet and about 35 kilometres north of Lachen - During the journey, tourists have to cross Gaigaon Check Post at 15000 feet, which is the highest check post in the world - Gurudongmar is approximately 70 kilometres and is nearly 02½  - 03 hours drive - The region is generally covered with snow from November to April  - Visit Gurudongmar Lake - Further up one more glacial lake is Tso Lhamo (5330 meters) but civilians are not allowed - Back to Resort for Lunch - After lunch drive to Lachung - It is approximately 50 kilometre and is nearly 02½  - 03 hours drive -  After lunch proceed to Lachung - Nearly 50 kilometres and 02 hours drive - Check into the hotel at Lachung - Evening free to visit Lachung Monastery - Overnight stay at Hotel at Lachung

[Note: Children below 05 Years & People with Heart Or Breathing Ailments are not allowed to visit Gurudongmar Lake and has to stay back at Hotel or Wait at 15000 feet]

Day- 05

Excursion to Yumthang [Zero Point Or Yumesamdong is Optional) and Transfer to Gangtok -  Early morning breakfast - Visit Yumthang i.e. 25 kilometres and is nearly 01½  - 02 hours drive - A valley at an altitude of 11800 feet through which Lachung Chu flows, generally covered with snow from November to April -  It is known as the valley of flowers - Guest can spend an hour at Yumthang along with the hot water spring - The vast Valley stretches and is a cold desert till Tibet / China - While returning visit to hot water spring if time permits - The region is fully covered with snow and Rhododendron - Yumesandong or Zero Point & Katao are optional sightseeing - Back to hotel for lunch / Packed Lunch - Proceed to Gangtok - Afternoon drive to Gangtok - it is approximately 123 Kilometres & 05 hours drive - Evening one can spend time in M G Road or vicinity - Overnight stay at Hotel in Gangtok

Day- 06

Transfer to Pelling [Via Namchi Chaar Dham is Optional Or Half Day Gangtok Local sightseeing] - Morning breakfast and check out of the hotel to proceed to Pelling - A drive of approximately 130 kilometers and is nearly 03½ - 04½ hours drive along the scenic road - [Option of Namchi Visit is Optional] - On the way guest can enjoy having a cup of Tea at Temi Tea Estate the lone Tea Estate of Sikkim - Pelling is situated at an altitude of 2072 meters / 6800 feet - On a clear day guest can get a clear view of Himalayan range with snow-capped mount Pandim, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Khangchendzonga, Zopuno, Shimbho, Narsing, Sinolchu, etc - It is one of the exotic settlement with varieties of Rhododendron, Orchids, historical sites, short trek routes and wildlife - Yuksom, Ravangla, Rinchenpong and Namchi are some of the tourist spots nearby – Check into hotel - Evening free to roam around the small settlement - Over Night stay at Pelling

[Note: Either Half Day Gangtok Sightseeing can be Optional  Similarly Via Namchi Chaar Dhaam & Temi Tea Estate can also be Optional - It depends on guests and their choice] 

Day- 07

Pelling Local sightseeing - After breakfast at hotel - Drive for Full Day Sight Seeing - The routes are forested and the botanical and zoological richness is inspiring. Places of visit are Rimbi water Falls, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kechopalri Lake, it is one of the holy Buddhist lake and it is believed that any wish prayed for in lake area comes true - Myth & fact is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface, it is picked by a bird and thus the water surface is always free of leaves - Kechopalri Monastery, Kanchenjunga water Falls, Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse ruins, the scenic view from the top of the ruin to the mystic heights of Kanchendzonga ranges is something to be cherished -  [Sky walk is open to guest at Optional Cost] -Back to hotel - Evening free to roam around the helipad or Shopping center - Over Night stay at Pelling

Day- 08

Departure transfer from Pelling -  Early Morning breakfast - After breakfast transfer to Siliguri - It is approximately 135 kilometers and is nearly 04½ - 05 hours drive along the River Rangit & next along the River Teesta whereas Pakyong Airport (PYG) is approximately 115 kilometers and is nearly 04 - 04½ hours drive - On the way guests will pass Places like Gyalsing, Hee, Bermiok, Kaluk, Chayataal, Sribadam, Okhrey and many such places all are a short distance from the main road - The Road is scenic but bit rough and greenery is soothing - Stop at Jorethang, Melli or Chitrey for Tea - If time permits stop at Coronation bridge for photography -  Guest are advised to start early and not to rush - Drop at  Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri / Pakyong Airport (PYG) - Forwarding Journey
