Day- 01
On Arrival Transfer to Ramdhura - Our representative will be there to receive guests on arrival a7 assist them to get transfer to Ramdhura - It is approximately 110 kilometres and is nearly 03½ - 04 hours drive by road - Ramdhura is a homestay tucked in the heart of the Munsong Forest - It is nearly 15 kilometres from Kalimpong and is 01 hour drive through decent road - It is situated at an elevation of 5000 feet - Ramdhura literally means Gods village - Ramdhura gives you the perfect opportunity to be one with nature where you have - One can enjoy the exotic surroundings, spectacular mountains, lush green cinchona & rubber plantations and finally the breathtaking sunrise - Dello is nearby and so are Pedong, Algarah, Icchey Gaon, Sillery Gaon, Kalimpong & Rikissum - There are two homestays at Ramdhura with rooms facing Mt. Kanchenjungha - Amenities like attached western bathrooms, electricity and nice home-cooked food is available for guests - Evening free to stroll around the Area - Overnight Stay at Ramdhura
Day- 02
Sightseeing [Optional] Kalimpong or Nearby places - Ramdhura or Rikissum - Ramdhura is situated at an elevation of 5000 feet and at a distance of around 15 kilometers from Deollo - The village is situated at a moderate height, and forests of Pine and other hilly trees offer absolute tranquility - A village walk is must for all tourists while in Ramdhura or Rikissum - Iccheygaon is close to Ramdhura & Rikisum is very near to Pedong, which is admired by some tourist as amazing sunrise and sunset points - One very popular nearby sunset point is Dello - One can visit Deollo, Dr, Grahams Home & Hanuman Tok - Or visit nearby places like British-built Jalsa Bungalow, Mahadev Dham temple, Monsong Forest Bungalow, and Deollo - View of mount Kanchenjunga, the Teesta River, the pine forests, the Cinconha Plantation and colorful birds and butterflies are mesmerizing - Evening free to stroll around the Area - Overnight Stay at Ramdhura
Day- 03
Transfer to Sittong - early morning breakfast and transfer to Sittong - It is a distance of approximately 45 kilometres and is nearly 02 - 02½ hours drive crossing the River Teesta and national Highway 10 - Next one has to stop at Peshok for Lovers Point View and in Lamahatta for refreshment - Sittong or Sitong is a village in the Kurseong division of Darjeeling district - It is not a village, but a cluster of villages in a large area known locally as Sittong Khasmahal - The place has become famous among tourists as it is the heart of the orange growing countryside of Darjeeling hills - However Sittong has much more to offer to the tourists apart from its natural beauty - The area is not very popular yet - Visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature staying in one of the Homestay unaffected by the vices of modern tourism - Nice home-cooked food is available for guests - Evening free to stroll around the Area - Overnight Stay at Sittong
Day- 04
Sittong Village walk Or Sightseeing - One can walk down the village early morning and return for breakfast - A village walk is must for all tourists while in Sittong - Guests can visit the local church - There is a Bamboo Bridge, which you would love to see wobbling when someone crosses - But when you are in Sitong, there is one thing you cannot miss doing – “Enjoying Oranges - The house of Rabindranath Tagore at Mongpoo is just 20 kilometres away and Latpanchar - The highest point in Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary is 13 kilometres from Sittong - Latpanchar is also known for being the home to the Himalayan Salamander and numerous species of birds and butterflies - Another attraction of Latpanchar is the endangered Rufous Necked Hornbill, which nests here every year between April and September - Other touristic destinations like Kurseong, Dilaram, Baggura are all within 20 kilometres of Sittong - Attraction is nice home-cooked food and one can have Momo (Dumpling) - Evening free to stroll around the Area - Overnight Stay at Sittong
Day- 05
Transfer to Badamtam - It is a distance of approximately 65 kilometres and is nearly 02 - 03 hours drive by scenic road - Badamtam Tea Estate was planted by Christine Barnes in the year 1858 before commercialization by the Lebong Company - The name of the estate could have been derived from a Lepcha word, which means a bamboo water carrier - Badamtam Tea Estate is located in the Lebong Valley about 17 kilometres west of the Darjeeling town - After the end of the two estates viz, Bada Ging Tea Estate and Chhota Ging Tea Estate starts the area of Badamtam tea estate and goes till the Majhi Tar basin in Sikkim - The estate is now owned by Goodricke Group Limited - The estate is situated at an altitude ranging between 305 metres to 1830 metres above sea level - Nice home-cooked food is available for guests - Evening free to stroll around the Area - Overnight stay at Badamtam
Day- 06
Darjeeling Local Sightseeing [Optional] - Early morning one can stroll around the area and return to Hotel / Homestay - Post breakfast visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, War Memorial, Tenzing Rock, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Thursday closed) and Bengal Natural History Museum (Thursday closed) - Tibetans Refugee Self Help Centre (Sunday Closed), Japanese Peace Pagoda - Sightseeing places are dynamically dependent on time, Road Condition and Traffic and other factors - It is not possible to visit all the places but the important ones are covered for the satisfaction of guest - The drive is also scenic - Nice home-cooked food is available for guests - Evening free to stroll around the Area - Overnight stay at Badamtam
Day- 07
Transfer to Gulma via Kurseong - Drive to Siliguri, on the way to Gulma - It is approximately 110 kilometers and it is nearly 03½ - 04 hours drive by nice road - After breakfast transfer to Gulma - It’s a drive with one-stop Kurseong Tourist Lodge - Kurseong is a quiet town between Siliguri and Darjeeling noted for its secluded charm, Beautiful Tea Gardens, Orange Orchards & Cardamom Plantation - Gulma is a homestay located in the outskirts of Siliguri town - It is within 30 minutes drive from the heart of Siliguri town, and yet, it is surrounded by Tea Estate and forest on all sides - The village was used as the location for popular Hindi movies such as "Barfi" and "Jagga Jasus" - Gulma homestay is a two-storied building located at a forest village known as Khairani - Punding forest village - The area is famous as an elephant corridor - The Kurseong hills forms the background of the Homestay whereas the Mohargaon Gulma Tea estate is opposite the Homestay. -The Mahananda Wild Life Sanctuary is within 100 meters from our Homestay - Night stay at Gulma
Day- 08
Departure to Airport or Railway Station - Early morning breakfast & start for departure transfer - Siliguri is a city in the northeast Indian state of West Bengal. It sits in the foothills of the Himalayas, surrounded by tea gardens - Drive to Siliguri, on the way to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) - It is approximately 25 kilometres and it is nearly 01 - 01½ - hours drive by nice road - Morning breakfast - After breakfast transfer to Airport or Station - It’s a drive-through Champasari & Siliguri - Along the National Highway 31 and Asian Highway 02 - Drive should be as early as possible - Traffic is high to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Siliguri - Guest are advised to start early and not to rush - Forwarding Journey
