Day- 01
On Arrival transfer to Kalimpong - On arrival Guest will be received by our representative and he will assist to get transfer to Kalimpong - It is approximately 95 Kilometres i.e. 02½ - 03 hours drive - The drive will be along the River Teesta and National Highway 10 - This bustling bazaar town sprawls along a saddle-shaped mountain ridge overlooking the roaring Teesta River and is lorded over by the summit of Khangchendzonga - Lava, Lolaygaon, Pedong, Sillery Gaon, Ramdhura, Rikissum, Charkole, Kagey, etc are nearby places of interest - It is a quieter destination - Situated on the foothills of the Himalayas at an elevation of 1243 meters / 4078 feet - Check in Hotel at Kalimpong - It is a Hill Station buzzing with fun, frolic and offers spectacular views - Check into Hotel - Evening free to stroll around Kalimpong bazaar for shopping of handicrafts and relics - Overnight stay at Hotel in Kalimpong
Day- 02
Kalimpong Local Sightseeing - Early morning breakfast and start the day for sightseeing - Kalimpong weather is milder and pleasant for the most part of the year - Kalimpong boasts Himalayan views, Buddhist monasteries, colonial-era architecture, and fascinating nursery industry, all linked by some fine hikes - Kalimpong is known for nurseries, heritage schools & charitable institutes - Start with Zang Dhok Palri or Durpin Monastery - Army Golf Course - Nursery - Deollo - Hanuman Tok - Dr. Grahams Home (school with a high standard of education), etc - One can spend 02 - 03 hours in Kalimpong and enjoy the lunch at any of the restaurants like Orchid, etc and back to the hotel - Heritage buildings are Gouripur House and Morgan House, etc are worth visiting - Evening free to stroll around Kalimpong bazaar for shopping of handicrafts and relics - Overnight stay at Kalimpong
Day- 03
Excursion to Lava (Optional Pedong) - Morning breakfast - Next there is a drive of approximately 35 kilometers its nearly 02 - 2½ hours drive by road - Lava is situated at an altitude of 7200 feet is this tourist spot - Lava one of the entry points to the Neora Valley National Park with a lovely view of the Jelep La and Reche La pass - Lava Monastery, Tiffin Dara, Neora Interpretation Centre are worth visiting - Road conditions generally is bad hence Lolaygaon is omitted and the option of Pedong is added - Pedong is 20 kilometers east of Kalimpong on the way to Lava at an altitude of 1240 meters i.e. 4071 feet - It commands a panoramic view of the Kanchenjunga and the Himalayan mountains on the historic Silk Road that connects India to Lhasa via the Jelepla Pass - Back to Kalimpong Hotel - Evening free to roam around the any of the hundred nurseries or the Local market area - Momo or local dumplings are worth tasting - Shopping is one more option as mostly Tibetian products are available - Overnight stay at Kalimpong
Day- 04
Departure transfer to Siliguri - Early morning breakfast & hotel check out by 09 AM - 10 AM - It is approximately 90 kilometers and is nearly 02½ - 03 hours drive - The drive is through National Highway 10 and along the River Teesta - Its a scenic road - After breakfast departure transfer - The option of Boating [Earlier White Water Rafting in River Teesta] at Chitrey - One will travel via Sevoke Coronation bridge & Sevoke Kalimandir - One stop at Coronation Bridge or at Salugara recommended to guests for refreshment along with some Tea or one can enjoy the tea in the outskirt of Siliguri - Drop at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Siliguri - Guest are advised to start early and not to rush - Forwarding Journey
