Lolaygaon / Kaffer / Charkhole / Chukhim - Lolaygaon is situated in an extreme end of a ridge. It is in the middle of the heritage pine forest with excellent views of the Himalayan range. It is nearly 124 kilometres from Siliguri via Gorubathan. Lolaygaon also known as Kaffer is 24 kilometres from Lava and nearly 32 kilometres from Kalimpong. It is a perfect tourist spot for all. Lolaygaon from Kalimpong situated at an altitude of nearly 1675 meters. Sunrise and sunset are worth watching from Jhandi Dhara. It is a heritage forest with a heritage canopy walk and offers fine views of the snowy Singalila Range. Flora and bird - watching are the best options of tourist. Charkhole is 13 kilometres through the gravel road and the distance is really a critical drive but at the end of the journey is the great valley worth visiting. This valley is really enjoyable during the spring and autumn when the sky is clear and the Himalayan range is visible. As a spot it’s a nice leisure or honeymoon spot. The valley surrounded by the conifer forests under the warm glow of sun with birds and colorful flora everywhere will impress nature lover. The whole surrounding or setting will enthrall you to a new dimension. The other valleys of the region are Charkhole and Chukhim. Charkhole is 15 kilometres from Lolegaon and chukhim is further downward. It is also approachable from Bagrakote tea estate. Both the places are ideal to be away from the crowd and to spend a few days in isolation. The view, pollution free atmosphere and the regions are good for birding and photography.
