Itinerary for Package Tour

Day- 01

On Arrival transfer to hotel in Kathmandu  - Our representative or Vehicle will be there to receive the guest and assist them to get transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu - At an height of 1400 meters / 4600 feet Kathmandu is the Capital of Nepal - Kathmandu is a pupil-dilating experience, a riot of sights, sounds and smells that can quickly lead to sensory overload - Whether you’re barrelling through the traffic-jammed alleyways of the old town in a rickshaw, marvelling at the medieval temples or dodging trekking touts in the backpacker district of Thamel, Kathmandu can be an intoxicating, amazing and exhausting place - Great places historic, religious and cultural sites worth visiting are Patan or Lalitpur, Manokamana, Bhadgaon or Bhaktapur, Nagarkot & Dhulikhel are all close by - Check into Hotel / Resort or Homestay - Guests will be briefed about next day activity -  A briefing session with Guests to complete documentation, go over details and answer any queries guests might have for the trek ahead - Evening free for own activities - Overnight stay at Kathmandu - Evening free to stroll around the area - During evening hours guests can visit any shopping Mall, Casino or Thamel [To return back to hotel or resort Taxi are available from most of the Casinos] - Overnight stay at Kathmandu

Day- 02

Kathmandu to Lukla Transfer - Early Morning One has to leave the hotel & drive to  Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for transfer to Lukla - There are numerous flights flying the busy Kathmandu to Lukla i.e. Tenzing Hillary Aiport (LUA)  - Lukla route, though with a much-reduced service during the off-season months - Goma (Summit), Tara Airlines but Sita is considered to be one of the more reliable airlines flying this route and operates two or more flights every morning from Kathmandu Domestic Airport at 07:00 AM and 08:20 AM, with return flights at 07:40 AM and 9:00 AM - Flights from Kathmandu take around 25 minutes [Tenzing Hillary Airport (LUA), Lukla (2840 meters)] - Lukla contains a small airport servicing the region, and a variety of shops and lodges catering to tourists and trekkers, providing western-style meals and trail supplies - Guests can explore Lukla, a rapidly changing area in the Himalayas - From Lukla, travellers will take two days to reach the village Namche Bazaar, an altitude acclimatization stop for those continuing on - Evening free to stroll around the area or in the airport itself - Night Stay at Lukla

Day- 03

Trek to Phading / Phakding - Lukla to Phakding or Phading - Start the day from the amazing mountain town of Lukla, the gateway to Everest - Start the day by meeting the guide and other crew members - Settle with all supporting crew members at Lukla before setting off on the first day of the trek - After about 04 hours of easy trekking on a gentle downhill trail one can enjoy and acclimatize -  Arrive in Phakding, a village that lies on the banks of a beautiful mountain river called Dudh Koshi - It is situated at an altitude of 2610 meters i.e. 8563 feet - Phakding is a small village in the Khumbu region of Nepal - It lies in the Dudh Kosi river valley just north of Lukla and south of Monjo - One of the UNESCO World Heritage Site - The trail starts at Lukla and Phakding is often the main stopping point for trekkers on their way to Mount Everest via the Gokyo Ri route or Tengboche route - Rest for the day here in the scenic little village - Overnight stay at Phakding 

Day- 04

Stay & Acclimatize at Namche Bazaar (3440 meters) - Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day - Namche Bazaar (3,500 meters) is the staging point for expeditions to Everest and other Himalayan peaks in the area - It has developed into a small, colorful market town selling everything from Tibetan artifacts to trekking and climbing equipment and everything you might need during your trip - Guests / Trekkers can spend a day here at Namche today for acclimatization as one can prepare to go higher in the days to come - Guests  can take a hiking trip to the Everest Viewpoint, right above Namche Bazar to have the very first glimpse of the Mt. Everest - This spectacular viewpoint shows us wonderful mountain views, including Mt. Everest - Spend the rest of the day around this bustling town - Visit the Sherpa Museum to get information on the history of the Himalayas, its geography, culture, and its people - Explore interesting shops and haggle with vendors, or indulge in the delights offered by the local bakeries in Namche Bazaar - Over Night Stay at Namche Bazaar

Day- 05

Trek to Tengboche - Namche Bazaar to Tengboche - Tengboche is at an altitude of 3860 meters i.e. 12665 feet - Guests can continue along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi flanked by magnificent views of the mountains. Pass through Sanasa, where the trail then drops to Phunki Thanga. Views of the Himalayan giants from here are deemed to be the most magnificent in the world - Once guests reach es Tengboche village, they will find themselves surrounded by peaks like Tawache, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam including Mt. Everest - After settling into homestay type accommodation one can rest for the day - Guests can get out to explore the Tengboche Monastery, the biggest Buddhist monastery in the region where Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, the first man to summit Mt. Everest along with Sir Edmund Hilary, was sent to be a monk once - In the monastery itself, there is a 6-metre tall sculpture of Buddha, incredibly ornate wall hangings, and displays of musical instruments and robes worn by the Lamas - Night stay at Tengboche. 

Day- 06

Trek to Dingboche [Tengboche to Dingboche] - After a short and steep descent through a forest of birches, conifers, and rhododendrons, trekkers/guests will reach Debuche - Dingboche is a Sherpa village in the Khumbu region of northeastern Nepal in the Chukhung Valley - Dingboche is a popular stop for trekkers and climbers headed to Mount Everest, Ama Dablam or Imja Tse -  Its population was estimated at approximately 200 and is situated at an altitude of 4,410 meters i.e. 14,470 feet - Spot Nepal's national bird, the Impeyan Pheasant, here - After crossing the Imja Khola on a swaying suspension bridge, high above where a river rushes through a narrow cleft, the trail climbs past some magnificently carved mani stones to Pangboche - The uphill trek continues, taking you to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak and Ama Dablam - Over Night Stay at Dingboche 

Day- 07

Trek to Lobuche [Dingboche to Lobuche] - On this day, the trail will traverse through meadows and farmland before continuing along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier - Pass through the small village of Duglha before climbing up to a viewpoint, where stone memorials as setting up as tributes to climbers who have perished on nearby summits - The trail drops slightly and follows the western side of the valley to Lobuche - Lobuche / Lobuje is close to the Khumbu Glacier and the settlement of Lobuche - There are two main peaks, Lobuche Far East and Lobuche East - Lobuche is situated at an altitude of 4910 meters i.e. 16108 feet - Lobuche East is 26 meters / 85 feet higher - Between the two peaks is a long deeply notched ridge - The first recorded ascent of Lobuche East was made by Laurence Nielson and Sherpa Ang Gyalzen on April 25, 1984 - Stay overnight at the Lobuche

Day- 08

Gorakshep (5140 meters) - Lobuche to Gorakshep, with a hike to Everest Base Camp - It is situated at an elevation of 5140 meters i.e. 16864 feet - Finally going to Everest Base Camp - Before hiking to EBC - Stop at Gorakshep, a small settlement on the glacial lakebed of the Everest region, and the highest overnight point of our trek - Have lunch at tea house, and set off for the Everest Base Camp - Gorak shep or Gorakshep is a frozen lakebed covered with sand in Nepal, and also the name of the small settlement that sits at its edge  near Mount Everest - The village is not inhabited year-round - The walk on the moraine and boulder-strewn path up to base camp will test our stamina - As the camp comes into sight, the feeling of exhilaration is indescribable as we stand up close and personal with the formidable Mount Everest - Reach Everest Base Camp (5380 meters i.e.17651 feet ) - After basking in the glory of Mt. Everest, we will return to Gorakshep for the day.

Day- 09

Trek to Pheriche (4240 meters) - Gorekshep to Pheriche, with morning hike to Kala Patthar (5550 meters) - One has to get up early for the hike up to Kala Patthar, the highest elevation on the trip, to catch a magical sunrise as dawn breaks over Mt. Everest, Lhotse and other mighty peaks - After enjoying nature’s light show, Trekkers have to make their way back to Gorakshep for breakfast - The trek down will bring them down a new path to Pheriche - Situated above the Tsola River is a popular stop for trekkers and climbers - A rudimentary hospital open only during the two trekking / climbing seasons (March-May and November-December) -  It is staffed by Nepalis and volunteer physicians who are mostly from the USA, Europe, Canada and Australia - Pheriche was primarily a farming village however, now in the summer many of its men are employed by trekkers as guides and bearers - There are also many lodges where trekkers and climbers on their way to the Mt. Everest Base Camp can stay - It is an important acclimatization stopover and is a relief and treatment center and an evacuation point - It is the usual stopover place for many Everest trekkers on their way back down after the base camp

Day- 10

Trek back to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters) - Pheriche to Namche Bazaar - It is located within the Khumbu at its low point, populating the sides of a hill - Immediately west of Namche is Kongde Ri at 6,187 meters i.e.20,299 feet and to the east is Thamserku at 6,623 meters i.e. 21,729 feet - Most Sherpa who is in the tourism business are from the Namche area - Namche is the main trading center and a hub for the Khumbu region with many Nepalese officials, a police check, post and a bankThe journey today starts with quite a fair drop to the valley floor after you cross the Dudh Kosi river on a suspension bridge - Walk in the shadow of pine trees and rhododendrons bushes that line the trails - Guests will be back in Namche Bazaar - Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar


Note: On a hill overlooking Namche Bazaar is the Syangboche Airport - It is at an altitude of 3,750 meters i.e. 12,303 feet - It is no longer used for passenger flights, though Russian helicopters make occasional cargo flights. The nearest open airport is Tenzing Hillary Airport, located 13 km south of the town.

Day- 11

Trek back to Lukla (2840 meters) - Namche Bazaar to Lukla - Continue to walk down to Monjo and enjoy a night there - It’s an easy walk down through Phakding to Lukla for the final night's stay in the Khumbu region - Lukla is a town in the Khumbu area of the Solukhumbu District in the Sagarmatha Zone of north-eastern Nepal - Situated at 2,860 meters / 9,383 feet it is a popular place for visitors to the Himalayas near Mount Everest to arrive by flight - The only other way you could get around Lukla is by foot - Yes, there are no roads and no any other mean of modern transport - There are plenty of awesome mountainous view around Lukla itself - Although Lukla means a place with many goats and sheep, few are found in the area these days - A hospital which is highly equipped with modern instruments can be seen here - It is heavily funded by the tourists from outside and provide free medical services to poor people - Night Stay at Lukla

Day- 12

Fly back to Kathmandu (1400 meters) -  Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) or Kathmandu Bus Terminus (Kalanki) - Early Morning Breakfast - Next Depending upon the flight timings one can visit the nearby Mall or Thamel is Kathmandu's primary "traveler's ghetto" catering to tourists - Another neighborhood of growing popularity is Jhamel - Jhochhen Tol, also known as Freak Street, is Kathmandu's original traveler's haunt, made popular by the hippies of the 1960s and 1970s - Asan is a bazaar and ceremonial square on the old trade route to Tibet - Next have to Check out from Hotel - Next prepare to drive nearly for an hour approximately 15 kilometers to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA)  - Depending upon the flight timings one can visit Thamel or some of the places of interest on the way on the way to Kathmandu airport - Forwarding journey
