Namchi / Borong / Rabong /Samdruptse/ Legship - Namchi is situated at an average elevation of 1315 meters with the highest point at 1675 meters. It is situated at a distance of nearly eighty kilometres from Gangtok and one hundred and five kilometres from Siliguri. Namchi lies off the road between Melli and Jorethang and is fast growing into a tourist destination with its enormous potential for tourist activities.

 

Rabong & Borong  - Visit to Namchi is nearly thirty (30) kilometres to Guru Rimpoche Statue, Char Dham, Town (Mall style with fountains / acquarium), View of Mount Kangchenjunga and close by is Temi Tea garden. Next one can visit Rabong and  within three kilometres is Rabong town / Buddha statue 108' & garden / Tsozo lake, Dalling monastery / Tibetan settlment for handicrafts, Short village treks through forests and cardamom fields. Next is rthe settlement called Borong, Rumtek branch of Ralang monasteries,  Bermeli falls, Short village treks through forests and cardamom fields. Next places of interest is Pelling from there Tashiding / Yuksom / Khecheopalri Lake visit. Small trek to Mainam - Trek to Mainam hill top at 10000 feet to View of Siliguri plains, Darjeeling hills, Nepal, entire Sikkim and Bhutan. Balle Dhunga is twenty (20) kilometres or Trek to Dalle Dhunga at 10000 feet for a view of Kangchenjunga & North Sikkim

 

Namchi is known for the tallest statue of Guru Rinpoche situated in Samdruptse just few kilometres from Namchi and the other attractions are Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary and the Rock Garden.It is gradually becoming a tourist hot spot. Legship is a small settlement and is fast growing tourism hot spot in West Sikkim district in the Indian state of Sikkim. Legship is a settlement located nearly twenty six kilometres north of Jorethang. A gateway to west Sikkim connecting Gezing and Pelling situated on the bank of river Rangit. Attraction includes the large temple complex on the bank of river Rangit known as Kirateshwar mahadev Mandir.Phurcachu hot water spring near Namchi is worth visiting. This hot springs is situated nearly twenty five kilometres from Gyalshing near Reshi on the River Rangit. The medicinal value of this hot water spring is due to high sulphur content and can cure many skin diseases. Angling, birding and short trek can be arranged from here.
