Day- 01
Arrival at Guwahati and transfer to Hotel - Our representative will receive the guests on arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station or Bus Terminus & assist them to get transfer to Hotel - The gateway to the Northeast and the largest and most cosmopolitan city in the region - It serves as the starting point for many itineraries - Extending along the south bank of the mighty Brahmaputra - it’s in large part a somewhat featureless expanse of concrete, glass and traffic - Few facts about Assam worth mentioning is the ancient cities of Pragjyotishpura and Durjaya (North Guwahati) were the capitals of the ancient state of Kamarupa under the Varman and Pala dynasties - Many ancient Hindu temples are in the city, giving it the name City Of Temples"- Dispur, the capital of Assam, is in the circuit city region located within Guwahati and is the seat of the Government of Assam - Four major shopping center of Guwahati are Pan Bazaar, Paltan Bazaar, Fancy Bazaar, and Uzan Bazaar - In the evening visit 'Kalakshetra', a place where Assamese history and culture is presented through Light and sound show or One can avail the Brahmaputra Cruise depending on Tide & Season - Return to hotel - Overnight stay at Guwahati
Day- 02
Transfer to Shillong - [Optional] One can visit the Kamakhya Temple and start for Shillong - After breakfast proceed for Shillong popularly known as the 'Scotland of the East' - Shillong is approximately 125 kilometres and is nearly 02½ - 03½ hours drive by scenic road - Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills - Irreverent Shillong was the capital of colonial and post-Independence Assam (which embraced almost the whole Northeast) until 1972 when it became the capital of the newly carved-out state of Meghalaya - Since then it has developed some accoutrements of a typical modern Indian town, including urban sprawl, a lot of concrete, and snarled-up traffic along its winding streets - However, it retains some old-time charm and a strong sense of individuality and difference, with its many Christian churches and its residents' tastes for hanging out in cafes, playing and watching rock music and football, driving around in spruced-up automobiles and gambling on archery - On arrival check-in to your hotel - Rest of the day at leisure or one can stroll around the local market or police Bazaar - Overnight stay in Shillong
Note: The heart of town is Police Bazar (PB to locals) where seven roads meet at a hectic roundabout. Yellow-and-black shared taxis charge anywhere between ₹50 and ₹150 (negotiable) for trips of 02 to 03 kilometers. There's a stand at Police Bazar roundabout.

Excursion to Cherrapunjee - Today morning after breakfast excursion to Cherrapunjee - It is approximately 60 kilometers and is nearly 02 hours drive one way by road - Cherrapunjee (also called Sohra), sitting near the lip of the escarpments, is the obvious base for exploring this spectacular landscape - Cherrapunjee was once feted as the wettest place on earth, though nearby Mawsynram is nowadays reckoned to be a few drops damper - The swift-flowing rivers and streams flow in a southerly direction to the plains - Cherrapunjee's peak season runs from about May to August - Other attractions are Caves & view of Bangladesh (Neighbouring country) - Visit Dwan Syiem view point, Noh kali kai falls, Mawsmai caves, Seven Sisters Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Thankarang Park and Koh Ramhah - Later drive back to Shillong - On the way visit to Shillong Peak & Elephant Falls - Evening at leisure or one can stroll around the local market or police Bazaar - Overnight stay in Shillong

Transfer from Shillong (Meghalaya) to Tezpur (Assam) / Bhalukpong (Arunachal Pradesh) - Early Morning breakfast - Next drive approximately 260 kilometers ie. a drive of nearly 07 hours - Tezpur is a city in the state of Assam in northeastern India and nearly 56 kilometers from Bhalukpong - It is an ancient city on the banks of the river Brahmaputra and is the largest of the north bank town and is approximately 175 kilometres northeast of Guwahati, considered to be the Cultural Capital of Assam - Reach Tezpur or Bhalukpong 325 kilometers i.e. 07 hours drive - Bhalukpung is approximately 250 kilometers and is a drive of roughly 06 hours - Bhalukpung is a small town located along the southern reaches of the Himalayas in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh in India - It is located at 213 meters above sea level - Tourist attractions include the Pakhui Game Sanctuary and Tipi Orchidariurm, which hosts over 2600 cultivated orchids from 80 different species - Annual festival Nyethidow of the Aka tribe is celebrated in January at Bhalukpung,Thrizino - Overnight stay at Bhalukpong

Transfer to Dirang - Early morning breakfast - Next is the transfer to Dirang in Kameng district - Dirang is approximately 138 kilometers and is a drive of roughly 05 hours from Bhalukpong - Dirang is nearly 42 kilometers from Bomdila - It is a small town on the banks of River Kameng - The name Dirang or Dirrang is derived from the Kameng river, a tributary of the Brahmaputra, that flows through the district - Dirrang with its snow-capped mountains, gushing streams and lush greenery makes it a paradise for tourist - Major tourist attractions are sub-divisional natural hot spring just 01 kilometers from Dirrang - 500 years old Buddhist Kalachakra Gompa or the Lhagyala Gompa in Morshing known for its magnificent architecture- Another option is a trek through the 'Dirang Monpa' tribal village, Dirrang Dzong [Fort], Sangti Valley situated 07 kilometers away from Dirrang & Yak Research Centre at Nyukmandung [Nearly 30 Kilometer from Dirrang] - Enroute visit Tippi Orchid Centre - Check in Hotel - Evening at Leisure to stroll around the area - Overnight stay in Hotel / Resort or Homestay at Dirang

Transfer to Tawang via Sela Pass - Early morning breakfast - Next transfer to Tawang - Tawang is approximately 140 kilometres and is a drive of roughly 06 hours - Tawang is situated at an elevation of approximately 3,048 metres / 10,000 feet in the northwestern part of Arunachal Pradesh of India - A mighty gash in the earth fringed by magnificent mountains and speckled with gold-and-white gompas (Tibetan Buddhist monasteries), the Shangri La - like Tawang Valley awaits at the end of a long, spectacular route up from the Brahmaputra plains - Getting here is an adventure in itself as you zigzag up and down mountainsides where colourful prayer flags and stupas proliferate - It is also a famous destination among adventure seekers due to its snow-covered peaks offering a perfect spot for skiing in India - Most of the population in and en route to Tawang are Monpa, a Buddhist people who historically had their closest links with Tibet - Enroute witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 14000 feet - Jaswant Garh War Memorial - Reach Tawang & Check into Hotel or Homestay - Evening free to stroll around the area or to the shopping centre - Overnight stay in Tawang

Tawang Local Sightseeing - Early morning walk to enjoy the Sunrise is advisable - Early morning breakfast - The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the “Galden Namgyal Lhatse” Monastery - one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sect in Asia - The birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, the Monastery is 400 years old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha - 14th Dalai Lama fled from Tibet to escape from Chinese army on 30 March 1959 at the Tawang Monastery before reaching Tezpur in Assam - Tawang Monastery is said to be the biggest Buddhist monastery in the world outside of Lhasa, Tibet - ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 meters gives you unparallel purity of nature - Tourist flock here for enjoying the scenic beauty and experience the spiritual aura of so many monasteries - Visit the monastery, the War Memorial, Apple Orchard, Hot water spring, etc - Option of Sangetsar Lake [Named as Madhuri Lake after shooting of Movie] and you may see a gleam of recognition - The lake was renamed after Madhuri Dixit shot here for the film Koyla - Evening free for shopping - Evening back to Hotel or Homestay - Overnight stay in Tawang

Excursion to Bumla Pass [Optional is Sangetsar Tso] - Early morning breakfast - Bumla Pass is accessible only by permission - For the permits, one has to visit the Office of the Deputy Commissioner in Tawang District and then Indian army cantonment of Tawang [Our representative will complete the job on physical presense of guests] Next drive 37 kilometers and nearly 02 hours drive - This pass or path was used by Dalai Lama to enter India - Covered with snow throughout the year, Bumla Pass is a popular spot for tourist at an elevation of 5000 meters i.e. 15200 feet - One can walk up to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and on the other side of the barricade is China - Army personnel are very friendly and answer all of the questions which are posed to them - Along with Bum La pass one can also visit Sangetsar Tso [Lake] [Madhuri lake] on the trip back - The lake is about 20 kilometers from Tawang town and about 07 kilometers beyond the bifurcation of the road leading to Bum La Pass - It will be around 06-08 hours depending on the amount of time spend at each place - Stop for permit & ID check - It is best visited from the month of May to October - It is great place to go - Back to Tawang - Evening free - Night stay in Hotel or Homesty in Tawang

Transfer to Bomdila - Morning breakfast - Next drive back to Bomdila - Bomdilla is approximately 180 kilometers and is a drive of roughly 06 hours - Despite its rough roads and tough climatic conditions, Bomdila is well connected with Guwahati (264 kilometers), Tawang (167 kilometers) and Tezpur (162 kilometers) - Bomdila is known for its scenic environs along with its Buddhist monasteries and apple orchids - The Bomdila View Point is a prominent site to view the spectacular West Kameng valley and the cloud-covered Nechipu Pass - It’s also a heaven for adventure lovers offering them with a wide array of outdoor adventure activities such as hiking, trekking, mountain biking, and forest camping - It is inhabited by the Monpa, Sherdukpen, Miji, Bugun (Khowa) and Aka tribes - On the way stop at Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa) & Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa) - Morning / Evening one can visit the ViewPoint - Bomdila offers a wonderful panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes and snow-clad ranges - Evening just stroll around the road - Overnight stay in Bomdila

Transfer to Nameri National Park - Early morning breakfast - Next drive approximately 130 kilometers and is nearly 05 hours drive - After breakfast drive to Nameri National Park - Nameri National Park is a national park in the foothills of the eastern Himalayas in the Sonitpur District of Assam, India, about 35 kilometers from Tezpur - Nameri is about 09 kilometers from Chariduar, the nearest village. Nameri shares its northern boundary with the Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary of Arunachal Pradesh - The Park is famous for its bird-life, especially the White-winged wood duck & is also a Tiger Reserve - Nameri National Park is located on the banks of the river Bhorelli on the northern side of the Brahmaputra - Situated on the foothills of the great Himalayas, it is another tiger and bison country - Deciduous forests with the river Bhorelli flowing by its side, have added a unique charm to it - A trek inside the forest enables good sighting of the White Winged Wood Duck - Option to go for adventure activities like white water rafting and angling - The river Jia- Bhoroli is the lifeline of Nameri - Check in hotel - Evening in & around the river & local markets - Overnight at Nameri

Transfer to Ziro - Early morning breakfast - The distance is approximately 320 kilometers and is nearly 08 - 09 hours drive - Ziro is around 115 kilometers from the state capital Itanagar and 150 kilometers via the Assam route - Ziro is in Lower Subansiri district in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh - at an elevation of 1688 meters (5538 feet) to 2438 meters (8000 feet) - Its cool weather in summer and it is famous for its pine-clad gentle hills around it and rice field all around - Ziro is home to the Apatani tribe Also known as the land of Apatanis - It comprises the original Ziro village and the new Zero town (Hapoli) - The distance between these two places is 05 kilometers - There is the well known Talle Sanctuary - It is well known for Apatani Tribe, which is found in this region - Also famous for the conservation and Paddy - cum - Fish culture which is unique amongst the Arunachal tribals - On the way explore Nishi Tribal Villages - Ziro is included as in India's Tentative List for UNESCO's World Heritage Site - Check in Hotel - Evening free to stroll around the market area - Overnight stay at Ziro

Majuli Sightseeing - Early morning breakfast - After breakfast visit to Satras and admire the close proximity of nature that thrills - MÄjuli is the abode of the Assamese neo-Vaishnavite culture - The festival of Ali aye ligang is celebrated during mid-February for 05 days - Guest can go on a village walk and also visit the Satras or monasteries - Only twenty-two of the original sixty-five are operational - The Satras have honed certain art and craft traditions like in Natun Samuguri Satra one can still find the craft of mask-making, and in the Kamalabari Satra the finest boats are made - Students learn theatre, dance, music & mask-making & these arts survive today along with other monastic rituals, prayers, discipline & celibacy - Guest can watch a music & dance show at the Uttar Kamalabari monastery - Weaving is particularly delicate, making use of a whole range of colours in cotton and silk which found only in Assam - Evening free to stroll around the area - Overnight stay at the hotel - Visit various Satras - Overnight stay at Majuli

Transfer to Kohima - After breakfast back to Kohima - By road, Imphal is well connected with Kohima and with all the neighboring states through National and State Highways - Its only 04 hours drive for approximately 140 kilometers via National Highway 39 - Reach the town of Kohima - Trendy and laidback is how I would like to introduce Kohima to you. This capital city of Nagaland is far from the margins of the hurly-burly city life…Not quaint in any sense, just peaceful and beautiful in all senses - National Highways Number 39 connects it with Dimapur and Kohima - Kohima was the site of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II.
