Pal Zurmang Kagyud Monastery (Lingdum) -The people of the state is religious and god fearing with rich cultural heritage. There are colorful festivals and are organized with much fun fare with dance and musical events and each of the monastery have its own importance. Sikkim is perhaps the only state in India with more than hundred eighty Monastery. Zurmang Kagyud Monastery, located at Lingdum, East Sikkim is at a distance of about 20 kilometres from Gangtok. The present Gharwang Rimpoche is the 12th Successive incarnation of the glorious emanation of Zurmang Gharwang. This is a place worth visiting for its religious and exquisite architecture and serene atmosphere.
