Rangeet River Dam / Rangit Water world -Rangeet Dam is a Hydel project, recently installed by National Hydel Power Corporation (NHPC). The situation or the location of the Dam makes the region look like a natural high altitude lake. The lake like structure is used by the local tourism house for boating facility. The lake is situated right on the main river bed between the cliffs.The place is suitable for a day's excursdion or sight seeimng or picnic too. The scenic beauty of this small settlement in South Sikkim is warm and welcoming. There are quite a few options in this region for the tourist to enjoy. Situated close to Legship one can avail of serene white water rafting and boating facilities at the Rangit Dam, against the impressive backdrop of steep hard rocks.
