Day- 01
On arrival at Transfer to Pedong - Our representative will receive guests on arrival and assist them to get transfer to Pedong - Its a distance of approximately 100 kilometres and is nearly 04 hours drive - Pedong is a town in Darjeeling district close to Kalimpong town - Transfer to Pedong Pedong lies 20 kilometres east of Kalimpong on the way to Lava at an altitude of 1,240 metres 4071 feet - The town is located on a ridge with a spectacular view of the Kanchenjunga and the Himalayan mountains - Pedong lies on the historic offshoot of Silk Road that connects India to Lhasa via the Jelepla Pass - Evening one can trek to Sillery Gaon at an altitude of 6000 feet - A small and beautiful village perched in the Himalaya - Sillery Gaon is only 04 kilometres from Pedong - Evening free to stroll around the area and after sunset move to hotel or homestay - Overnight stay in Pedong
Day- 02
Pedong Local Sightseeing - Early morning breakfast - Next there are many an option for sightseeing - One can visit Cross Hill for the view placed by priest Fr. Augustine Desgodins in 1882 AD - Ruins of Damsang Gadi, a historical fort built in 1690 AD - It was home to the last Lepcha King - Gyabo Achuk - Silent Valley close to Sillery - One can also have a one day Trek - Options of visiting Aritar Lake and Zuluk is there but the plan has to be done a day earlier for Pass - Silent Valley trek is enjoyed through as it is a deep forest of pine, birch, fir & orchids with some soothing path following the chirps - Evening free to stroll around the Sangchen Dorjee Monastery or to stroll around the area- Overnight stay at Home Stay or hotel in Pedong - Evening free to stroll around the place - Overnight in Pedong
[One day Trek or trail to Sillery gaon or Damsang fort is the first option, the second option is going round places near Pedong in a vehicle and the last option is Kalimpong Sightseeing]
Day- 03
Transfer to Zuluk - Morning after breakfast proceed to Zuluk - Permit proceedings have to be finished at Rongli - The distance is approximately 70 kilometers and is nearly 03½ hours drive along the scenic road - The popular silk route that connected Chumbi Valley / Lhasa (Tibet) to Kalimpong was in use even a few decades ago until the Chinese invasion of Tibet - Zuluk / Dzuluk used to be a small village on this route situated at an altitude of 10000 feet - Zuluk means abode of peace - The Hamlet is perched on the rugged terrain of the lower Himalayas in East Sikkim is a hamlet close to Indo-China border - Zuluk is a relatively new offbeat destination of Sikkim and has a primitive charm with no Star category Hotels but homestay and lodges are the places of stay - On the way to Zuluk stop twice for Permit along with some refreshment / Tea - Evening free to stroll around - Overnight in Zuluk
Day- 04
Excursion to Kupup Lake - Early morning one can walk around and enjoy the Sunrise from Thambi Viewpoint - Back to the homestay and have breakfast - Winter is severe in Zuluk with heavy to very heavy snowfall and freezing temperature while summer is wet and foggy and its surrounding hills are covered with blooming rhododendron - Drive to Lungthung & Tukla is nearly 04 - 05 kilometers - Next drive to Gnathang / Nathang Valley, Tukla, Kalapokhari, Memencho Lake, and reach Kupup Lake - Enjoy the view of Hathi Pokhari Lake at Kupup - Highest Golf course the Yak Golf Course at 13,025 feet - The Ice Hockey ground and the Young Husband's trail - After having light refreshments at Kupup or similar place - Return to Zuluk by late afternoon - Evening free to stroll around the area - Overnight at Zuluk
Day- 05
Transfer to Aritar lake and local sightseeing - Early morning visit: At around 5:00 AM to view the spectacular sunrise from Sunrise Point - The rising of the sun is to be enjoyed description - The dark eastern horizon gradually turns reddish as the sun about to appear - Then as the sun rises from behind the distant mountains its glimmering rays first touch the snow-clad tip of the Khangchenzonga range on the west which slowly turns crimson and then golden and finally silver - One has to see it to believe it - After breakfast transfer to Aritar - If time permits after late lunch one can visit some beautiful places in Aritar like Lampokhri, Aritar Monastery, Dak Bungalow, Mankhim, Helipad, etc can be visited in Aritar and surroundings - Overnight in Aritar or Reshi Khola
Day- 06
Departure transfer to Siliguri - Early morning visit Lampokhari the oldest natural lake at an altitude of 4600 feet i.e. 1400 meters [If missed on the first day] - Early Morning breakfast - After breakfast transfer to Siliguri via Sevoke - The travel will be via Rorarthang - Rangpo - Chitrey - Teesta Bazar - Kalijhora - The drive is approximately 110 Kilometres and nearly 03½ - 04 hours drive - One can stop at Sevoke Coronation bridge for some refreshment if time permits or else at Sevoke Railway Bridge crossing subjected to time - Drop at Siliguri / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) / Siliguri Or Pakyong Airport (PYG) - Forwarding Journey
