Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brang Gompa- This monastary or Gumpha is nearly five kilometres south of the town centre. It is situated on the end of the ridge. This monastary was built in the mid - 1970s at Durpin Dara Hill and was consecrated by the Dalai Lama. Nobel Laureate Dalai Lama brought from Tibet 108 volumes of the Kangyur. As usual like other Gumphas it has impressive wall paintings in the prayer room and a rare three dimensional mandala. The scenic beauty of this place is nice with the Himalayan view and is better still from Durpin Dara Hill. Guest is free to walk or drive through it. Walk across Kalimpong town / Hikes
